id say make into flapjacks, biscuits etc or top with yoghurt, compote and fruit as a dessert or even just putting some on top of a thick yoghurt is a treat
  • Hi all

Does anyone know if the muselsi slices can be frozen, as have a couple of boxes to use up - LOL. Trying to think of the calories, so freezing in daily rations would be good.

Hope you can help - many thanks

    Hi shepherdgirl,

Yes they freeze well. Wrap them individually so you only need to lift one out of the freezer at a time. ;)

    Hi arran m,

My first thoughts would be to use it in flapjacks, cereal bars or muffins, but this thread has more ideas:

I'll add your thread to that one later to keep the ideas together.

I've replaced the oats in Twinks HobNobs with muesli with very good results. Sorry, I can't help with a recipe for muffins.

I have a couple of 1.5 kg bags of Alpen which are simply not being eaten as cereal, any ideas about uses for this. If it was just porridge oats I wouldn't have a problem, but as it's sweet I'm not sure what to use it for. All suggestions gratefully received.

Base for lemon meringue pie etc, or topping for a fruit crumble?

ETA: Got another few. Eat it mixed with yoghurt, or use it to make flapjack, add some to pastry or bread dough to make a sweet bread/pastry?

I make flapjacks with muesli. I prefer them to ones made with oats. Instead of cutting into fingers I cut into squares and dip diagonally in melted chocolate.
