starting motor for rover 25 price plz

Hi Ive just come in from my car breaking down tonight! After a visit from breakdown service man he said my "solenoids on my Starting motor on my 03 rover 25 are sticking"
Does anyone know if this is a major job?
I remember reading about a scheme by where garages that were recommended by the council or something , were registered to carry out repairs at a reasonable price.Has anyone heard of this and able to point me in the right direction.
I am in Edinburgh , as my name gives away

it shouldnt be too expensive, you can get a reconditioned starter motor for around £60 and about 1 hour at the most to fit it.

There was a guy in the Portobello area who was an independent Rover specialist. He was top notch and knew Rovers inside out. Good prices too. I can't remember his name though (possibly Thompson). Maybe it'll pop up in yellow pages.

I will give Thomson Motors a call today and am relieved that its not a major job price wise.
Am just hoping it will start today to get me there lol.
