maybe a silly question but a colleague at work is going to
Chicago in a couple of weeks.
Does he have to have a flu jab before he goes or not.
I wouldnt havethought it was compulsory but i said i would find out for sure.

A lot of myths exist about the flu jab although it is true that if you already have a mild form of flu the jab will make the condition worse. One thing that is not mentioned enough is the importance of keeping clean and avoiding the spread of flu rather than vaccinating from flu. A computer keyboard can have more bacteria than a toilet seat so as you sit typing do you realise you could be spreading flu? .The best thing to do is use a dry on contact spray on your keyboard and on light switches.
That way you can avoid contracting Flu and should not have a probelm if you decide to have the jab
Keep surfaces clean using 'anti-bacterial sprays'0 -
McKneff - as fas as I'm aware you do not need any jabs to enter the US. If you're friend is unsure they could check with the embassy.0
