O2 & dodgy mobiles on contract
O2 keep giving my DH dodgy Nokia 5800s.
He's probably had at least 4 & this latest one (he's only had a couple of weeks) is playing up again.
They keep/kept turning themselves off &/or loosing signal/service, kept loosing bluetooth connection.
After the first new one they keep giving he re-cons.
AFAIK, I don't think he's ever even had a mobile go wrong before:rolleyes:
This model goes wrong on a regular basis.
I emailed them today (we actually know one of them now in O2 to email, he's had so much bother with them).
She said he can have a re-con
Nokia n95 1g
Nokia 6600
Nokia n86
Nokia E71
All of those are much lower spec phones aren't they?
He has asked for an iphone but they won't change it for that, despite being available for the same terms he's on £35 PM.
They want £350 for an iphone, as they say its cancelling/breaking the contract.
I told him to get an iphone in the first place, but he's always been a Nokia fan, so wanted the 5800 when it came out:rolleyes:
Surely they are breaking the contract by giving him rubbish phones?
Any advice?
TIA

Of those, the E71 is probably the best of the bunch.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

Are they not all lower spec/cheaper that the 5800?0 -
They rate it on features not price.0

Yes, they are. But they're all comparable apart from not having a touchscreen.
The system that CS use is programmed to offer handsets with the same spec as the one they're trying to exchange. Age, price ect isn't a factor.0 -
The n86 is practically brand new, it launched not long ago, I'd go for that0

N86 and E71 are more expensive. get one of these.0

i would go for the n86 its newer and has a very good camera better then the 5800.0

Indeed the N86 is way better than the 5800 in every way apart from it doesn't have a touch screen. 8 meg camera, wifi, gps, bluetooth... Battery life isn't the best (about 2 days from a full change) but most smart phones have the same problem.0
