Expect some negatives at Christmas

I just hope the national strike is not around Christmas. I really don't think Royal Mail workers have thought this through as with e-mail, paperless billing and courier prices coming down to similar to Royal Mail price I can see more and more people abandoning them.

I don't have a problem with postman. I just think they don't appericate that 10 years ago Royal Mail strikes would cripple the UK now people just will use other means. I have this very week changed all my bills to paperless because two never arrived. One nearly cost me £5 late payment charge (but thankfully they wrote it off) the other nearly cost me huge problems all because of the recent strikes. 10 years ago I would have had to put up with it. Now I don't. I appericate this isn't going to really make any difference to Royal Mail alone but if everyone did it etc...0 -

Ebay general announcements page: " Today the Commercial Worker’s Union has issued strike notice to Royal Mail this means a national strike is possible from the 18th October.
We take this notice very seriously and recognise the negative impact that such action will have for sellers on eBay.co.uk and I want to let you know what we are doing to mitigate the impact:
- We’re temporarily removing the option for buyers to rate sellers on the Dispatch Time Detailed Seller Rating from the start date of any national strike action. "

Riiiight... What has despatch time got to do with the strikes? Is the Post Office going on strike too?

Er, thanks eBay.
I think its more to do with people marking people down for dispatch time because its taken an item so long to arrive due to the [STRIKE]should just get on with the job or find a new one[/STRIKE] striking postmen0 -
It just goes to show that even eBay doesn't know the difference between despatch times and delivery times! My TV is broken!
