it was announced today that Amazon have dropped royal mail for deliveries, due to the strike action...
i think i will find out how much the cheapest courier service is, and list the bulkier/heavier items from now on... so there wouldnt be that much increase on the original postal cost iyswim..Work to live= not live to work0 -

I have real difficulty sympathising with postal workers over this. I appreciate they are having a hard time, but do they actually realise how much stress and upset their strikes case the nation? Especially if they are planning it over Christmas!0

do you honestly think they took this decision lightly?
i am sure they know all that, and its going to effect their mail too.
i know its carp.. and its a pain in the butt, but they do have their reasons, whether we agree with them or not, and some times you need to be working in the royal mail ( or any other firm/company to really know how things are)
ok i know i am going to get jumped on here....with the above comments.
i am not in favour or against the strike, as i dont know enough info about it, but as i said... they didnt take the decision lightly..Work to live= not live to work0 -
No I think it customers who dont know the difference
But you get what I'm saying don't you? EBay are basically saying to the buyers 'If the seller is slow to despatch, it's because of the strikes, so we won't let you mark them down'... which is idiotic. Because the strikes have nothing to do with despatch time.
Obviously WE know that a rating for 'despatch time' is not the same as a rating for 'delivery time', but ebay aren't helping by muddying the waters in this way.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
I don't have a problem with postman. I just think they don't appericate that 10 years ago Royal Mail strikes would cripple the UK now people just will use other means. I have this very week changed all my bills to paperless because two never arrived. One nearly cost me £5 late payment charge (but thankfully they wrote it off) the other nearly cost me huge problems all because of the recent strikes. 10 years ago I would have had to put up with it. Now I don't. I appericate this isn't going to really make any difference to Royal Mail alone but if everyone did it etc...
i think the companies that are sending the bills SHOULD allow their customers more time to pay when there are strikes on.0 -
