Personally I'd pay £100 for an iPhone, but if you don't fancy opening your wallet I'd go for the Tocco Ultra0

well after getting a new handset sent, just the handset and nothing else! considdering i have an lg and the replacement was a nokia they forgot to order the new again. so after spending hours on the phone i was livid.
i now have to send a letter to the director of customer relations and the complaints resolution departement and also the office of fair trading. this is to terminate my contract early with them and not pay the rest off. it was a shocking situation requiring me to have to go this far. i'm stuck with my old phone, think i might just stick with it on pay as you go!0 -
had a call today from the executive of Cheryl Black, she is the highest person at o2 bar the share holders!! and they have terminated my contract and waved the monthly costs up until my actual termination date! got a pac code to! hoorrah!!
all it took was a well written letter!! just gotta chose a new company now...

Hi there, i've read with interest your posts on this matter.
im in a similar situation. had 6 dif phones in past 12 months, due to faults.
currently waiting to hear back from orange regarding my replacement of current phone. been without a phone all day. and most likely 2 more days also
definately going to write to executive office regarding me not being happy with the fact i keep having to ring up insurance and get a replacement phone. inconviencing me etc. i want to end my contract now. (probably wont get to, but just want to try my luck)!
just wondering what sort of information you had put in your letter?
thanks.

Hi there,
I've sent you a private message with the details.0 -
Legoman - Well done for getting a result.
Just bear in mind O2 are not obligated to fix or replace your phone unless its deemed a manufacturers defect within the warranty period. Once the handset is received by you, you are the owner and are responsible for its condition. The only tie between your phone and your service contract is you must be in possession of the handset for the minimum period, in case they request it back i.e. your service contract is terminated, otherwise you will be charged for the handset. Everything else falls on you!
This is stated in the T&C's. So please read and don't assume they will always repair/replace for free. Otherwise you may get a surprise when your next bill arrives.
Good luck.0 -
thanks for the heads up but they have given me a pac code and the manager i spoke to has agreed to raise a credit for the final ammount on the account and i will only pay what i have used up until the pac code is used.parallax_20 wrote: »Legoman - Well done for getting a result.

i could write a book on the ammount of trouble i have had with o2 so if i was to get any suprises than i would write the sequal everyone has been waiting for.
the second handset they sent me (7th faulty handset in total) they are sending a jiffy bag when i use my pac code.
if you could see the pile of documents they have at their end and i have here, i'd be very very suprised if they went against their executives word and charged me extra.0
