    bash holes in walls! :o:o

Ok you have more of a problem , join up with jackieb

    No , don;t ! 12 inchs of granite would defeat me , £60 ( even that time ago ) was a bargain.

If you have standard common bricks , at least try

Biggest problem is lining up holes inside and out...if of standard construction (i.e brick/block cavity) for that i'd use a 12 inch long 10 or 12mm drill bit attached to a standard corded hammer drill to drill a guide hole (check your drill will deal with it and don't attempt all at once - i have a foot long drill bit that bent after it overheated and i applied to much pressure! Then stitch drill around the hole on either side of wall with normal sized mansonry bits (it's doesn't have to be perfect as most vents will cover over a rough edge) and break out with bolster or cold chisel - recommend DeWalt Extreme2 masonry drill bits (screwfix) that slice through bricks like a hot knife through butter.

Tumble drier vent kit we used was this one

Why not get a rectangular vent kit & just knock out one outside brick? Not sure how the internal wall brick will line up but can always hack away & then use a filler/plaster afterwards.

    Something like this...

    or this...

(Stumbled across this post looking for ordering the above...& now I'll probably forget it ever existed....ttfn & good luck. Andy)

Can't post links as newcomer so take out the blanks between http & www
