Best no contract broadband?

Hi,
We are moving to new rented acommodation in 2 weeks and would like broadband, but can't tie in to 12 months of broadband as we may buy a flat within 8-10 months or so (therefore needing to cancel the broadband when that happens).
Is there a company out there that provides 'pay as you go' broadband, we don't mind paying a bit extra for the fact there's no tie in.
Thanks for any info you can provide.

My daughter is with Freedom2surf, she is @ uni and is cancelling for the summer break to save 3 months fees. When she goes back in September and reactivates the service there will be no charge for reactivation.
Think when you join its for a three month contract then it reverts to a rolling monthly contract after that.
She has had no bother with this ISP @ all.

No problem anytime, did you know there is a one off £49-99 activation fee?
The Cascade Home looks a good buy, also if you do a search on saynoto0870 it provides an alternate number (01) for tech support.

Hmm - on their site says the following, luckily:
* Activation price waived subject to the service being retained against the same uninterrupted and unchanged BT Line Rental Contract for a minimum of 6 months, otherwise standard activation fee of £49.99 is due.
Luckily 6 months should be fine for us... only slight prob is that we'd have to keep paying BT the basic landline costs on top - aargh ;o(
Thanks again tho - looks like a good one!

Before you sign up, you can also check out the Freedom2surf forum over at ADSLGuide.
This will give you an idea of what other users of this company are saying. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Yep. F2S are dire!
I'm not sure if they've improved recently - but i'd advise anyone to email them and see how long it takes for a reply. Or indeed phone up their "support" line and see how long it takes you to get an answer (the last time i tried it was 20 minutes +)0 -
Eclipse. They have a monthly contract and have been faultless.. we're about to move so will be cancelling then signing up again.0
