Orange Care Is it worth it??

I have just got a new phone with Orange on a 24 Month contract and they asked me if i wanted to buy Orange Care from them and said to them i would have a think about it and get back to them.
Am i right in thinking that if anything happens to my phone in the next 24 months and ive not got Orange Care then i wont get a new one from them or get it fixed?
If thats the case i would be left with no phone??
So If i took out Orange care and paid the £6 month fee for it then is it worth it and if my phone breaks or something then would i get a new one?? and does it cover if i lose it??

If you take Orange Care, it's only useful in the first six months if your phone is lost, stolen or damaged. Your covered under a goodwill warranty for the first six months with any software issues.
However after the six months, I'd recommend to get Orange Care. I work in faults and the amount of people who just expect us to replace the handset after our warranty has expired is unreal. It's £6 a month and if anything goes faulty with the phone we'll get a next day replacement out to you. The admin charge is £15, but other networks charge higher (I think I heard o2's is £25). If you didn't have it and your phone went faulty, lost, stolen or damaged you'd get emergency options in the region of £70 or £60 and subscribe to Orange Care for at least the next four months (and thats if the phone is classed as a low value handset, and then the price rises to £160!). The manufacturer would sort software issues too, however that means the phone being sent into them.
I'd get it, because personally the amount of sob stories we hear is awful and theres nothing we can do about it. Nobody expects a phone to go wrong, but if it does, theres peace of mind there with Care.0
