  • I did twice

i got 4 R&M lippies that were reduced from £11 to £2.75, i purchesd 2 with one voucher and again with another voucher also using 2 vouchers for 250 that were in the back of the H&B magazine.

so i paid all in all £1.00 for 4 lippes and gained 500 points.

You can't use no7 voucher on reduced items, says on back of it

True - but it depends if your SA reads the back of the voucher. I generally find that if the items are reduced on the SEL, they'll go through fine with a NO7 voucher. If they are stickered clearance, I've had problems with those.

The R&M lippies around here (well yesterday anyway) were all reduced on the SEL (ie no clearance stickers on them).

I used the voucher that printed out from the self check out machine, there is no T&Cs, only said 1 voucher per transation.
So I got 2 lippy for 50p and 750 points too....

    p.s. CM66, thanks for sharing:rotfl:

Thats the R&M voucher, I was referring to the No7 one. Where it states on the back you cant use it on reduced items

Last year, I used some of mine to buy Christmas pressies, then I used the rest in the 75% off instore sale in January :D.

You can also save them up to buy an expensive item, ie electricals, photography, even Boots.com items and order them instore.

The voucher from the self-checkout machine is the same as the gold one you get handed -- it's r&m AND no7. And that's the point where all this becomes "Bootsing" -- vouchers often work on things they say they won't work on. The new no7/r&m voucher definitely works on r&m clearance (might work on no7 too, though as someone else said, it usually only works if the item is reduced on the SEL rather than with a clearance label), regardless of what's written on it. An SA may refuse to try it based on those terms, but usually they don't pay that much attention or really care what the "terms" are -- they'll just scan the coupon and if it goes through without a beep, you get the deal.

Conversely, if the coupon beeps even when you have met all the terms, you'll often get refused the deal you're entirely entitled to have. That's just the good and bad of shopping at Boots.
  • i had a really lovely sa in boots yesterday. i bought two barry m nail polishes (to get the no7/rm voucher) and as she went to scan the rm lipsticks i asked if i could do that in a separate transaction and she was like " oh yes, you will get the £5 off voucher" and gave me the two rm lispticks for 50p. unforunately none of the acms would give me the 750 points voucher

I've used the points for treats that I wouldn't of been able to buy. A few months ago i was broke and Boots had loads of shower gels and bubble baths with 75% off, I used about 500 points and got about 12 bottles, some of it should have been 2.99 for one bottle. So no outlay and a cupboard full of supplies. I've also used points for girls things that are a necessity and that then saves on my shopping elsewhere. I also buy those girls necessities (when they're on offer) to reach a £5 spend to get whichever £5 voucher Boots are doing at the time.
