SP Fresh start.
Hi, i recently changed my Mothers tariff with Scottish Power from the fixed price deal that was coming to a close over to Fresh start as this seems like a very good deal for OAP'S, i have been assured two or three times over the phone that this change has taken place but what worries me is that i have nothing to back this up as her online account shows that she is on an online energy standard tariff, having asked about this i was told that Fresh start will not show up on the online account.
Could anyone cast any light on this for me please, Paul the SP guy i would appreciate your views on this.
Many thanks,
MR V.

Hi Mr V
I am certain that if our agents have confirmed to you that your mother's account is on the Fresh Start tariff then you can rest assured that this has taken place. However, if you would like to send me a note of your mother's account details, I will be happy to confirm for sure that the account has been placed on this tariff.
With regards to the Fresh Start tariff, and this applies to all accounts on this rate, it guarantees to put the account in question on prices equivalent to the lowest possible tariff in a customer's specific area at any particular time. Thus, it is a largely flexible tariff which can change prices at any time (albeit, this will almost always be in the customer's favour as it normally changes to match lower prices if these become available). So, the online service will most likely not show Fresh Start as a distinct tariff as this can differ from customer to customer.
I would recommend to any SP customers out there who feel they are eligible for this tariff that they contact us to see if this is applicable and to have this applied to their account.
Kind regards

Hi folks
I'm happy to confirm that joe134 was spot on regarding the Fresh Start tariff. There are no cancellation or penalty charges on this tariff whatsoever as this is not a fixed or capped tariff.
To elaborate on what joe134 has posted, the Fresh Start tariff will match the prices of the cheapest available tariff, regardless of payment method, for the area that a particular customer resides. As already stated, if a cheaper tariff becomes available then the Fresh Start prices will change accordingly.
If you are an SP customer, and you are eligible for this tariff, I would heartily recommend it.
Thanks
