Maybe im being a lemon here but could someone tell me the difference between these 2 versions of windows 7 from amazon. Number 1 is Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium, Full Version and number 2 is Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium, Upgrade Edition,

    You would need the full version if you didn't have a previous copy of windows, however it will act as an upgrade if you do have. Therefore, the full version is better than just the upgrade on it's own.

    Get the full version and do a fresh install. Either get a new hard drive and use that or put the stuff you want to keep from your old hard drive on a USB drive or DVD and then format your hard drive and install from the beginning.

    There's really no need for anyone in the UK to get the upgrade edition.

    nope im not a student, would it be cheaper if i was, i thought the full version was the 1 to get

    I always check, as a lot of people don't seem to know about the student versions!

    My daughter has the required email address and will be the proud ?? owner of Win 7 pro , for about £40 ( I suggested she ordered the disc )
  • lol. I've got 2 .ac.uk addresses, which is the benefit of choosing to keep your uni address after you leave!

    A family pack covers 3 computers so for each computer I would expect the licence to be less but the overall price to be higher but so far it isn't available on pre-order and there is no price set.
