phone broke, can i get free replacement from O2?

I am six months into a 18 month contract with O2. my phone broke and is irrepairable. i have no insurance. what would be the chances of getting a free replacement phone if i called O2 and explained.

I am also with O2 broadband maybe this might help if i said i would leave.

any suggestions ?

    Is it a warranty issue! O2/manufacture should repair or replace it free

    If accidentaly broken !!! Have you got house insurance if so see if it is covered, as you might beable to claim.

    You will not get another phone from 02, as it is not part of the contract to keep you with a phone, they only have to provide signal in your area + your allowances. It will provide you one when you start but that is it.
    As you say it cannot be repaired, thus i guess warranty is out of the question. If it cannot be repaired due to a manufacturing fault like the case falling apart you might be ok, but stuff like accidental damage, water damage, etc. Then it will not be covered.

    As above, either try household insurance, most don't but some do. Outside of that, you will have to buy a new phone yourself.
    Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
