My local tesco just love to leave all their promotional offers out well past the date of the offer ending, obviously to con their unsuspecting customers who don't check their receipts. It has got so bad i actually write down the offers and prices on my shopping list so i can double check. I got used to going to customer service desk and getting double my money difference back. But now some bright spark at H/Q has decided to combine the lotto and ciggy counter so instead of waiting for 5 mins to get served it's now twice as long. I think this is disgraceful, obviously they are making so much money loosing the odd enoyed customer doesn't bother them.
I have shopped in asda for the last 2yrs and never ever was an offer not put through, so i will have to go back to travelling a bit of a distance to get 1. better value for your money, 2 an honest store.

Its uncanny,it's almost as if they DON'T want to hear our complaints/give us dtd ,isn't it.....:D
Next someone will suggest that is why they put the biggest dragons on that desk..0 -
You are lucky if you only usually wait 5 minutes, I've waited 15 minutes before now only to be 'tut tutted' at for daring to suggest I have been overcharged. Then when I insist they check they slam the counter, storm off, chat to a friend and eventually come back 10 minutes later with a SEL to show me that the offer expired the day before..and then sigh loudly as they are forced to refund me the difference anyway.
The worst ever though was a jewellery counter assistant who was on the phone to someone else in the store, fair enough except that she was discussing party outfits and what they were going to drink that night as a colleagues 50th birthday party. When someone else in the queue asked whetehr she could find someone to serve us all as we had been waiting for awhile she waved the phone at us and snapped 'can't you see I'm busy here' then carried on loudly discussing the rudeness of customers.
A bloke in the queue did on that occasion go and fetch a department manager and we registered a complaint and apparently the staff member is going to be 'retrained'.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. An uncannily similar thing happend to be but at the Tesco pharmacy, I wanted a box of tablets which I could see and could have nearly reached myself but the woman was on the phone to someone talking about where they should go after the cinema. After a few minutes of her staring at, and ignoring, me I reached over and hung up the phone and said "I think you've been on long enough". Hey, I'd had a bad day.Male.

I LOVE this wd you!:beer::rotfl:

I Always check my receipt before i leave the store now and everytime i end up going to CS counter (also cig and lotto) they always seem to forget to change the offers over so they honor it and i get double back. I had a shock 2 weeks ago i had everthing right!!!! I normaly get 1 item wrong each week they had gravey 2 for £1.30 that had ended but was still on showing on Monday so they had to give me £1.64 back i paid 82p for 2 Bisto graveys
Sometimes they have paid me to take items away i am not complaining infact i am on first name terms with some of the managers lol. The best one was Imas cat food on offer i got 6 bags (always buy loads when it is on offer never once paid full price) but it went through full price so i got cash back and all 6 bags free (£33.36
value). Well worth 10 min wait at CS counter lol.Jan Wins: .0 -
the store near my parents has had this bright idea too.
last time i went to cs desk i was accused of blaming a theft in store on a member of checkout staff- ironic as it was someone i knew
my exact words were 'if you had proper security monitoring around your checkout areas you could check the tapes instead of accusing customers of dishonesty''
when i called for the guys manager he didnt want to come down- what a surprise. ironically the customer service manager at my local asda is someone i worked with and now lives on my street lolthings arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back thenMercilessKiller wrote: »BH is my best mate too, its ok

ive decided next time it happens, which i'm sure it will. i am going to refuse to move from the till i am paying at and get them to call for a manager. opologies to who will be behind me, but why should we have to requeue. watch this space as to what happens. at least they allways serve me and my 13yr old son withh wine.
Asda let me buy 32 cans of stella with him saturday, no questions asked, its my 50th and a great discount.:beer:0 -
if you do that, you won't get the DTD. It HAS to go through the till and you have to have paid fr it so you have actually been over charged. Otherwise they say "thank you very much, we will correct that" and they do, there and then and you don't get DTD. I suppose it depends if you are prepared to wait a few moments for a discount on your items
TOTALLY agree with you though, that their prices SHOULD be right. I once had them tell me that because the price tag wasn't under the item, the misprice didn't count. When I had stopped laughing I asked them if it would count if it was a poster in the window and they said "yes of course" and then realised they would have to do the DTD.
Good Enough Club member number 27(2) AND I got me a stalkee!

So, if the ticket offer is still up, regardless if the date has already passed they must honour it? There was an offer - expired - for cat food - the ticket was up but when it was put through the offer didn't materialise. When I queried the cs went and checked and then said the ticket was supposed to have been removed, sorry the amount you were charged was correct ... so stupidly I took her word and left..... should I have stood my ground and said as the ticket was still there I should have been paid dtd? what are the exact rules?0

just many of the reason i no longer do my weekly shop at asda! their special offers last only as long as it takes to get to the till . the false smiles and how are you todays - as they rip us off annoyed me. I got fed up too of checking my reciept and realising that offers and bogofs hadnt registered! and the hassle of cs diss-services!
i go to Aldi now as i use mainly fresh fruit and veg and meat products - but i do like SOME convenience foods . its entirely different experience.
yeah you guessed - am an aldi fan - and no they dont pay me to say so!
only critiscism of Aldi - i sometimes think i am in B&Q - why so many tools? more food please!0
