MESH computers - order one thing, receive another

I had a Mesh p.c some years ago which was very problematical.(motherboard, cd rom drive etc.) They were either incapable or unwilling to sort it out by 'phone and seemed reluctant for it to be collected for repair. CS were useless, even a letter to their Managing Director was totally ignored and as a final resort I instructed a solicitor to write to them. That did get a result but at my expense of course.
Ironically I do still use their "Go With The Experts" mousemat! That has proved the test of time and more reliable than their p.c.

I was surprised to see that QVC have recently started selling MESH computers. QVC have great customer service so it could be an interesting partnership.

I used Mesh five or six years ago to buy a customised PC and found the CS very helpful and I got the best spec possible for the money (I compared/got quotes from quite a few compannies). I never had to return anything though, and the computer still runs as my spare today, although I could do with changing one of the fans. Of course that's not to say that I wasn't just lucky, or they haven't gone downhill since.
  • I got a PC from Mesh a few years ago - they are OK..... if you are fortunate enough to get your computer on the agreed date and it matches what you ordered.

If there are any issues, it will mean talking to their customer service area, which is where it will go horribly wrong. It took me 3 months of letters and emails to get a simple refund on a wrongly supplied peripheral.

They only tend to react to problems when people slate their service on external forums, attempting to look all proactive and efficient!

Once was enough for me - never again!
  • Add me as another person who wouldnt touch Mesh with a barge pole, grandfather bought one from Asda online about 2 years ago. It was showing the dreaded BSOD on a rival, and as a old person he thought it was his fault and payed someone to look at it (paying £60 per hour). Somthing inside was broke, that the bloke couldnt fix as it would void the waranty.

Grandad sent it back for a refund, but had a right hastle for Mesh to give him a refund.

Personally i would reccoment Dell for people wanting to customising their systems.
