cex
hi i was wondering if anyone knew how bad C graded phones were, my contract is up in december and i dont really want a new contract, but i would like a i8910hd, on the cex website they are £205 for a grade c handset
so i was going to trade in my n95 8gb for one, but i was wondering how badly damaged the grade c phones were.
if its just marks on the case, i was thinking of locating a new casing and replacing it, and help would be appriciated

No idea but if Grade A is assumed to be brand spanking new, Grade B would be a returned item which was sold as new, Grade C would be well used item with parts missing (headset, manual etc) and probably repaired.
Personally I would avoid exchanging like the plague.
I had a nokia n95 8gig previously and got £145 from selling it via mazumamobile.com. That was in May 2009 or earlier. Now they offer £114 in cash or £125.40 in Argos vouchers.
Now if you really want the other phone, I would sell the Nokia and use any money from that to pay for a new phone rather than buy some second hand used model which may be lacking in accessories plus the warranty factor.0 -
PS the samsung i8910 is on sale on ebay for £322 new - ok its more than £205 but it is new and complete.0

And this is from CEX web site
Grade A - Working phone in as new/mint condition. Complete with original box and accessories as sold new.
Grade B - Working phone in good condition with slight cosmetic blemishes. Charger supplied. If the phone includes a music player/radio then it is supplied with headphones. If the phone has PDA functionality a sync cable and/or docking cradle is supplied. Missing original packaging.
Grade C - Working phone in poor cosmetic condition. Original or 3rd party charger supplied but missing accessories and original packaging.
Grade F - We buy non-working phones online. Non-working phones must be intact, not crushed or snapped in half. Non-working examples: dead, cracked, broken/bleeding LCD (screen), not powering up, speakers/mic faults, broken aerial, etc. Accessories are not required. We only buy non-working phones online. We do not buy non-working phones in stores or sell them from any location.0 -
the thing is i will get 187 for my n95, so ill only have to find 20 quid, cex give a 12 month warrenty aswell, so there shouldnt be any issues with that ???
i dont mind if headsets etc are missing, aslong as i have a charger with the phone, as i would use my own earphones for my 3 play back.0
