    Hi All

I'm pretty new to the Boards, but not new to saving money ;)

Just to let you know about something that happened to me today in my local Boots (don't want to say where, as they were brilliant, so don't want to get them into trouble!) I was looking for a shaver for my son, and the Braun stand said "save up to 50% on all Braun shavers" - the one that was 50% off was the 340series. However, I looked at the shavers that were £156, and couldn't see anything saying they had been reduced so queried it with the SA. She scanned it and it came up full price, despite the promo saying up to 50% off ALL Braun shavers. She called Manager over who said the £156 one must be excluded (although no small print). I didn't argue, just said it was a bit misleading, and was about to buy him a Remington (also half price ;)) when manager said "which one did you want?" - I said the £156 one, so she said "ok" and told the SA to override the price to £78!

Well done you! That's a brilliant saving. Welcome also.

Wee bit off topic but is anyone disappointed with the new No7 mascara? I'm not complaining as my daughter will no doubt use it and the eyeshadow kit will make up a christmas gift but I found the mascara and it's strange square brush really horrible to use :(

Oh no has anybody else tried it and not liked it? I prefer Clinique mascara but was going to get no7 one and the eye pallet for a gift for xmas :(

Edit- does anybody know when the free eye pallet gift ends? I was going to get it on the xmas points evening with rest of my shopping, will I be too late? If not I can always get it this week! x
  • The front cover offer isn't useful for me :( I'd really appreciate it if someone could PM me when the next weeks one is posted on this board, I don't really have time to go through every post and will probably forget.

I have had no7 mascara before and found it ok, but I think if you are used to Clinique you'll be a bit disappointed with this. I use a Benefit one at the moment that I'm happy with, but this square brush is just really bizarre in my opinion.

Thanks, Iv never tried anything No7 before! Apart from nail varnish and eye shadow! Just thinking of their mascara for a gift. Hmmm, might just chance it!

    It's over!
My long term addiction to Boots was finally over!

They do say admitting you have a problem is the first step... I, however, am nowhere near that stage yet! :rotfl:
  • I wombled four NO 7 vouchers in my local at the selfscan he he, never did that before but my own no 7 voucher fell down behind the bags and I pulled out a bunch of receipts with my own all of which were the vouchers so it must happen to a lot of people. Now got to go instore and treat myself to a few things. It's been soooo long since I bought any makeup seriously.
