first time i have done this in boots! i was scared of making a fool out of myself but it worked a treat!!!
bought 6 cans of right guard for hubby for £2.45 (see sep thread) and 2 lots of facial wipes (BOGOF). came to just over a fiver. got a goldie. used it to buy two R&M eyeliner bags £1.89 each so got them for free! well chuffed! SA was very very confused! the bags were not on the stand but i asked the nice R&M lady and she told me what were on offer...she had a drawer full of the reduced items. no lipsticks left though! was grinning like a lunatic!

I got more of the No7 sponges earlier and a headband. I paid £1.50 for both after wombled goldies:D

There's loads of non-cosmetic items you can get. Here is a mini list - prices are before goldie:

    Ultimate Moisture Gloves, £6

    photo frame key fob, £6

    cleansing sponges, £5.50

    muslin cloths, £5.50 ?

    exfoliating sponge, £5.50

    glasses case, £6

    make-up mirror, £8

    credit card holder, £6

    compact handbag mirror, £6

    brush bag, £8

    eyelash curler, £6

    holdaway re-usable bag, £6

file and buffer set, £4 ?

    headband, £6

The perfect pedicure, heated eyelash curler and compact trimmer are all 1/2 price at the moment, but I'm not sure if the goldie works on these anymore. Lots of us got them for free in the past as they all cost £5 then. I don't think the eyelash curler is any good though. Lots of peeps said it didn't work. I still haven't used mine. I'm not even sure where I've put it:D

Just to add to the list-The R&M smudger brush £5 and the eyebrow brush £4.50 work with the goldies too, with nothing to pay :)

How did you get the goldie to work with reduced stuff? I tried to buy a reduced set of no.7 eyeshadows (from £14 to £7) at the ss till, but it said coupon not met conditions or something like that. As I was only getting the eyeshadows for the lure of only £2, I ended up cancelling the transaction. I assume it wouldn't work if I went to a normal till, would it?

I bought 2 reduced no7 lipsticks with goldies today and ss till said conditions not met so kind SA took me off to a manned till and put them through, one with 6 tins of deodorant (see separate thread) and since lipstick was less than £5 balance came off £2.45 for deodorant. She put the other reduced lipstick through separately with a goldie but didn't offer me the 35p balance but I wasn't complaining. I got a customer survey so took note of her name and mentioned her good work in the survey. As usual SA dependant and you may get one who reacts like it's coming out of her own pocket.
  • went to my local today all ready for it, but they didnt have the paracetanol suspension on the 200 points offer, they did however have nit combs and products for 200 points , the cheapest nit item is £3 odd, a comb, and a must have for every house hold, so i thought i would let you know incase you wanted more points and didnt know what to get for a goldie.
went 4 times to check out with some cheap 342 stocking fillers for the kids, all around £5 each time, so got 4 goldies, and got a r&m makeup brush for exact price of goldie, and some of the no7 cleansing wipes, as i find in my local 'B' store there the cheapest no7 item ay £6.50 and they are lovely on your skin, and some cleanser for £7, thats my sisters xmas sorted, well almost anyway!!
didnt see any clearance at all anywhere in my local, going again on thursday so will look more.
the acm didnt give me anytying worth having, but i got the mag for free and there is a 200 points r&m 'v' in the back to use on thu when i go.
i do waffle on alot dont i !!!:rotfl:

I agree! I don't wear enough make up to keep going round and round the cycle anymore. I have more shades of nailvarnish than I know what to do with and foundation pots galore.

Still have lots of unopened Body science (or something like that) bust and body firming cream from a few years back when Boots gave these away-and every friend with a new baby has had one as a present too!!!!! OH has tried to tell me, but another full make up bag has finally made me listen!!!!!

why dont you ebay them, seperate or as a bundle, title something eye catching like ''xmas no7 bundle'' someone will deffo get them, i did this a few yrs back when i had too many no7 items and i got just about the full original price back for them, so made a huge profit.

Nothing to pay? I bought these 2 brushes today and had to pay £4.50 after the goldie was taken off!

Did you do it in 2 seperate transactions? As you can only use 1 goldie per transaction so if you used one and put the 2 brushes through together you would of gotten charged for the £4.50 one. If you done it in 2 transactions you wouldnt of paid anything!
