I had the same problem as you in Edinburgh today.

It was bad enough when i could only find barcodes ending in 803 with no points voucher and my oh said "if the 250pts mean that much to you i will give you £2.50" I told him its a matter of principle, but then to have a sa talk down to you like a bit of dirt telling you you cant have the gwp because she says so well.

Still got a goldie left, no gwp and found out my local is shut on a sunday. Totally lost my bootsing spirit.
Didn't go near the No 7 counter either time and we don't have SS tills anyway. Oh well some you win.

    H CPG and Highland_Lass :hello:

It looks like the problem may just exist in Scotland then  very odd or is that just coincidence, I wonder if anyone else in your region has been sucessful?

Just been to my local Boots. No signs saying 342 at all. On asking the SA, she said 'that finished on Wednesday'. When I asked her if she was sure that bath products were not still 342, she said she'd check the till. She did something to the till and said 'yes - it's finished'. I thought I'd get some products to use the goldie and wanted the GWP so was browsing for a few mins. Then I heard the SA call another SA over to cover her till for 5 mins. I grabbed 3 bath products, the GWP (all barcoded 399 sadly) and went for it! I waited with bated breath for her to tell me the total - '£16' she said. Yay! I thought and handed over the goldie. '£11 - that's a bargain!' she said, handing me my £5 skincare voucher and my purchases. I left the store quickly before the other SA came back!

Yeah that's what happened to me in Livingston a few days ago. I asked the SA who checked the till and said that NONE of the No7 products were on 3 for 2 including the bathing ones. However, I'm now wondering if I'd actually just handed over 3 items if it would have worked, since it did work in a different store the next day! Sometimes I think you've got to be brave and brazen it out but I don't always have the nerve!

That's totally out of order HighlandLass, you are fully entitled to the GWP. The items should be from the No 7 Bathing range (in the peachy coloured boxes).

I would suggest you go into your store again, ask to speak to the Manager, and say you've checked with Customer Services, and this is perfectly correct, and that you were made to feel uncomfortable.

I did the Sumptuous Trio today, and GWP, then presented my points, then the Goldie, and finally paid the balance. Alas, some of the SAs make up their own rules!

For London Bootsers: Liverpool Street's GWPs are 399, so are Bond Street Station and Oxford Street but not at Sedley Place or Piccadilly!!:j Those were 409.

None of the bags I picked up had a plastic tag, so I don't think the coupons were removed, they've just been omitted from 399. The SA at Oxford Street (all 399) unpacked stock straight from her box, and randomly checked 4 for me - no points at all.

With the Skinnies, these include Time Delay. and this

    http://www.boots.com/en/Time-Delay-Wrinkle-Reduce-Daily-Serum-30ml_124366/

was on the shelves of some of the branches as £6, instead of £11.74.

We offered the Skinny, and the till beeped, so they over-rode it. The good thing was (for the over 60s), that the discount was like in the Good Ol' Days. The 10% came off first. then the voucher, so we got it for 40p!!!! We got 8 between us!

In addition to all this excitement, we:

    1) Saw Clint Eastwood (well the back of his head, and his Director's Chair!) directing a film at Liverpool Street station ( we asked if they wanted a couple of extras, but they declined!)

    2) Were hugged by Pudsey Bear in Boots Piccadilly and

    3) Saw Lulu in John Lewis! She said "Hi!!" so I went

we-e-e-e-e-e-ell!!!! You know you make me wanna Shout!

She clapped me, gave me a big hug, and then autographed a photo for me. She also sprayed me with her new perfume, I asked if I could have a free bottle but she said she wasn't allowed

    xx

As my children were on Rememberance day parades this morning used the time to sneek into boots to check out what i could get with the skinnie, picked up a time delay radiance booster, originally £11.84 reduced to £6.84 and then £1.84 with skinnie. Hubby was impressed at the saving!

Managed to use my last 2 goldies on Saturday - bought 3 of the Sumptuous bath soak but had to search the store for them! They were not on the No7 stand or with the luxury bathing products but were hidden away on the bottom shelf of the corner of one of the gift displays at the front of the store. There were no 342 signs either so gathered up my courage and took 3 plus the silver bag GWP to the checkout and it went through without a hitch! Paid £11!

Used my last goldie to treat myself to the new No7 lipstick special Xmas edition in the gold tube - lovely colour - and only £4.50 after the goldie discount.

Looking forward to the next shopping event this Wednesday as I have a 500 point voucher from last time and a 300 point voucher for No7 P&P - now trying to find something to buy with the new skincare voucher so I can use that as well!

No sign of the new H&B mags anywhere - does anyone know if Margate or Ramsgate have them yet?
  • Yay, returned the mens GWP and swapped it for ladies.

Also managed to get 3 for 2 on the mens No7 range (£7.50 each) = £22.50 which entitled me to another GWP, used my last goldie and paid only £8.
SA allowed me to use 250 points voucher from gwp, 150 points for spending over £20 initially and the £5 goldie
I am definatly going to try and return the mens GWP and swap for a Ladies.
I have worked out the value for each gift

Mens: bodywash £1.60, Anti aging balm £3.45, anti anging serum £3.08, wake up face £1.08
Total cost of contents £9.21 + keyring + laptop bag that will only fit a very small laptop.

Ladies: Lipgloss £3.85, nail polish £6.25, Body wash £1.60, eyeshadow £1.5, beauty serum £3,29, night cream £6.15, mascara £7.39
Total cost of contents £30.28 + bag

None of the bags in my local store had a plastic tag on. There was a sign above the No7 counter to say the bag contained the opt voucher, but there was no mention of the points voucher. I don't think my local store has any GWP with the points vouchers in. A friend also got a GWP from there and she didn't get the points voucher either!

pollsdolls, I'm glad you managed to get the points vouchers in yours :)

    :hello:Hi there Sally,

Hope you are well (and all my local Bootsers too!!):grouphug:

    Snap!!
I went to our local Friday and brought the 3 for 2 on bathing paying £11 with a goldie and getting the GWP and then brought a nailvarnish and eyeliner with my last 2 remaining goldies... I asked about the new mag and no sign of it!! Got home and then remembered I hadn't used a goldie with the points voucher in the GWP and was kicking myself until I opened the GWP and only an Opticians one in there!! Wish the goldie didn't run out today cause I'm off to London on Wednesday to see Grease and might have had better luck there with the mag and the GWP

Done the 3 for 2 today on the mens, I got the face scrub, hair & body wash and also the shave gel. Put it through the till and the 3rd came off free but as the total spend before hand was £1.50 short I didnt qualify for the mens GWP but the girl gave me it anyway!! Used my goldie up also so got it all for £9!! Came home and then realised I forgot to use my 250 points voucher dohhhhhhh!!!!!
