I think if you want to cancel, you can cancel it with Nemo, confusing I know but as the policy was passed onto Nemo from the broker, they can cancel this for you on request, but will not deal with the mis selling side of it.
You could actually ask the FSCS about this bit, if you wanted to carry on the PPI for now, that is up to you.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

hi bez,we are in exactly the same position as you but we are going through investor compensation to claim our p.p.i back from nemo,we took a loan out for £23,500 in sept 2007 but decided to remortgage our home last year so that we could have more money so that we could pay nemo the full balance which an early settlement figure was £31,500 but in this was p.p.i which was £6,000 but like yourselves this only lasted 5 years and my husband as got a sick pay scheme at work so really we didn't need this p.p.i.Hi this is my first time on here , in feb 08 i was in a bad way money wise the only loan i seemed to have got was with nemo
i borrowed 32000 to clear my existing debt have been paying 404 a month ever since , after reading articals on this site about being missold ppi i decided to look at my loan agreament to my horror i noticed i have a 6320 ppi amount added to my loan but with intrest this adds up to 15996 when i took out this loan i didnt realise that i was the only one coverd (not my partner) also it only lasted for 5 years
does any think i am intitiled to claim for mis selling ?
Also has anybody claimed from nemo ?
And how much could i claim for is it the 15996 does this simply come off the loan amount a company has approched to to do the claim for 295 upfront and a 15% fee
should i just go it alone ?
Thanks in advance for any replies0 -

Hello and welcome.
If you require any help, just post up.
Nemo were quite difficult to deal with when we complained almost 2 years ago, but we were finally successful through the FOS, hopefully they are easier now.
Fingers crossed for you and please keep us posted.:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"

I would think a lot of these are easier now since the fines.
Good luck0 -
Hi my policy was sold through a broker and not nemo so there not intrested and to top it off the broker loanmakers have gone in to liquidation so my claim has got to go through the compensation scheme , phoned them a few weeks ago to get a cliam form which i have just recieved yesterday so just need to get it filled out and get it sent off to them think a claim will take roughly 6 months but at the least the ball is rolling now ,
thanks for the advice everyone
cheers bez0 -
