PAYG sim for talking to bf

Hi,
Does anyone know of a payg sim which you get a favourite number or something?
I have a new boyfriend and we are trying it long distance (I am at uni) and it seems that our contracts don't have enough minutes for us. I still have about a year left with my current contract, and he has quite a while too.
We were thinking of 02 sims, in which if you top up £15 a month you get free calls to 02.
Does anyone know of a better way of doing this? We are currently using about an hour of the phone a day. He doesn't have a house phone or the internet at home.
Thanks!

Get yourself Three skype phones pay and go (check coverage on both sides first).
Then just use skype for free to make calls.

Skype may not be the answer if you are at Uni and in halls.

What seems the chaepest option is 1 of you gets the O2 £15 simplicity sim that has inclusive O2-O2 calls, and the other gets an O2 PAYG with the simplicity caller making the calls and then splitting the costs. (Or even instead of a PAYG, getting the £10 per month simplicity sim if money is tight, yet more calls are needed than PAYG).

Orange does magic numbers, but their sims are no cheaper.

There is an o2 Family Bolt On available for both contracts and PAYG SIMS.

£7.50 a month (comes out of your top up etc) and you get unlimited texts and calls to 4 other numbers in your "family" of o2 numbers.

It costs 1 person £7.50 - no one else.

So I would advise getting a free o2 PAYG SIM Card each, one of you buying a £10 top up, and just remember to do that every month before your top up anniversary date runs out and then every third month it will be free - assuming that you don't spend any extra credit!

Or alternatively, get married. I can guarantee that you'll only talk for about 5 minutes a day once you're married.

How about Vodafone, with their family and friends you can have yourself and another 3 people (£5 monthly taken from calling credit) or 5 people (£7 monthly taken from calling credit) as long as you are all on vodafone. This means for example, in your group are YOU, MOM, DAD, BOYFRIEND, so you can also keep in touch with your parents whilst away at uni, but not only that, your MOM, DAD could talk to each other for free as they are included in your group. The only thing is texts are not included you would have to pay for these seperate, and i think after 59 minutes you would need to hang up and recall each other. I have added a link that explains a bit more, HTH http://www.vodafone.com/start/media_relations/news/local_press_releases/uk_press_releases/2006/press_release31_10.html

I would second voadfone, only £5 a month, you dont get the free texts but you get free calls, and then you would literally only have to top up £5 a month and not £10 like on o2.

Take a look at Lycamobile , they claim lyca to lyca is free and other mobiles are 10p per minute but I've not had a chance to read through the site fully yet so don't know all the t&c's.
