Almost unbelievable Easymobile offer - free calls on 19/05

I had a text earlier today from Easymobile promising something "massive and crazy"!

It now appears that on Friday 19th May all calls are free.

Surely this sets a new precedent as far as the UK mobile market is concerned?

From the Easymobile email:

In the spirit of summer, & because we haven't had a bank holiday for two whole weeks, easyMobile.com would like to give something back to you our valuable customer to brighten up your week.

For one day only, we are switching off our UK call and text charges! We are offering you the opportunity to phone & text your friends, family & work colleagues for free!

Yes you can believe your eyes! All calls & texts made on Friday the 19th of May 2006 to standard UK landline & Mobile phones are free.

Now there are a few conditions to this fantastic offer!
· You must be in the UK on Friday & initiate you calls & texts between 00.01 – 23.59 on 19th May 2006.
· You can make free calls & texts to all standard UK Landline (01, 02) & UK Mobile phone numbers.
· This offer excludes all Data services, Premium, Special & International rate numbers for calls & texts.
· Calls to Voicemail are included in this offer.

Last time I checked they allowed 07744 calls.
Charged at 15p / minute.

I would love to hear from somebody who can try a call to 07744 after midnight tonight and check the online billing (in some time) and update everybody.

Not so they still allow them at 15p a minute!!!

well if you can dial a 07744XXXXXX number from you mobile you will be able to call many international destination. Since there is a chance these call will be free on friday, you can figure out why people are eager.

You can search for specific 07744 number by searching it on google, try "07744 usa" or the international destination you would like to call.
