Who Can Give Me The Fastest Broadband?

Hi

Hoping somebody can help me.

I've always had my broadband/tv etc from Telewest/Virgin but we're movig on Thursday and have found out that there are no cable (fibre optic) services in the area that we're moving too.

I've done a search on Top 10 Broadband and there are so many to pick from. It also suggested that my line would only be able to support broadband upto 1MB. Being used to a package that gives me up to 10MG that would be a nightmare!!

Can anybody advise me of the best way to check what we're going to be able to get and who to get it from?

Thanks for that I've managed to find out who can supply the services and have decided to go with Sky.

I now have a problem in that I have no idea who the previous tenant had their supply with and therefore am unable to find out the MAC address. I was hoping to take advantage of the cashback on Quidco for signing up online but how can I do this if I can't find out my MAC address?

The issue with the MAC Code is standard when a previous tenant fails to cease their broadband until last minute before moving out if even at all. No company will issue a MAC code to a new tenant either which can be crappy but all it not lost lol. When you connect the line the marker should be removed and you should then freely be able to order BB through anyone (it may take a few days though). You may just have to be a little patient.

You can't use a MAC for a cable to ADSL transfer anyway. It's for transferring broadband from one ADSL provider to another on the same line. So it can't be used for a move to a property with a different number either.
You will need to take over the existing BT line (assuming there is one) and then you can sign up for whoever you want online via Quidco.
