Has anyone experienced similar poor service from TT in relation to their free broadband offer?
I first signed up with TT in December last year for landline and broadband, then in April took up the 8m broadband offer. I received a confirmation e-mail that said the service would be up and running by the end of April. On my bill at the beginning of May I was charged the one-off £29.99 connection fee and the new package charge. I therefore assumed I would be enjoying 8mb broadband within a few days.
By mid May nothing, so I decided to contact them and was told I would not be upgraded until July. I asked why they had already taken the connection fee and was told they needed this to pay BT to update the exchange. I was severly p'd off and complained only to be told that I was already enjoying free broadband albeit at the 1 mb speed and I would have to wait until July for the upgrade.
Through all this their customer service stinks, when I first joined I took advantage of recommending two friends in exchange for £10 credit each, 3 months later when I hadn't recieved this I complained and was told I should wait and see if it appears on the next bill. When I told them to cancel the account they then sorted it out but very begrudgingly.
They them cocked up my direct debits and after twice contacting them to sort it out I then received a final demand FOUR days after the direct debit had been taken. Again I complained but there attitude was that it was just a mistake. I called it incompitence.
Has anyone else had problems with TT, I would be interested to hear especially if you are waiting for the 8mb broadband.

The £29.99 is for the free broadband, not the free broadband at a specific speed IMHO. It still isn't financially a bad deal even at 1Mb speed.0

if its free why pay anything0
