Have you tried entering only the first 7 digits? Or the last 7 digits?0

Ebuyer have an own brand laptop which has really good ratings, So far at the time of writing there are 18 5* star ratings which is the highest rating possible. Link and spec below. I hope it helps someone out.
I have found Ebuyer consistently the cheapest place to buy things and their own brand stuff very competent.
Go to Ebuyer and search for product 167514. I would link to it but as a new user I am not allowed to.

Aren't there any laptops with a "matt screen".
All these clear bright garbage and true view junk are like mirrors, awful.
Also with Windows 7 around the corner I'd hang fire on buying any laptop at present.0 -
I can only assume the system identifier is not the same as the service tag as the service tag should be seven digits, I have a dell and its seven digits, only other identifying number on mine is the express service code which is 11 digits. Although I'm not aware the service tag can be used in that way (to check a systems history), though I'm not familiar with the outlet site so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.needing_help wrote: »Please can someone help - Am looking at the dell outlet site for a new laptop and if I understand correctly I can use the System Identifier number to check its back ground - but when I look of the system configuration page/ service tag thingy it needs a 7 digit number - and I have a 8 digit number - please can anyone help.....!!! - even if its to tell me I'm doing it wrong lol!!!0 -
