Medion looks good but it's just the name putting me off. Also thinking about Dell, I think they do some really good deals but it's just the name that I'm not sure of. Don't know whether to go for their XPS M1530. Like the spec but not the fact that it's a Dell!

Medion are not a bad brand and their customer service has been winning awards for the last few years. Out of all the laptops I have seen in the last 3 years of being a self employed techie, I've only seen one faulty Medion, and that was because of a cup of coffee was spilt on the keyboard. Not much I could do, but Medion repaired it for £48 outside of its first year warranty...

That Aldi deal looks awsome... only fault i can find (potentially) with it is the "High Gloss Design"

This compares with the Aldi laptop. Slightly faster processor, virtually the same spec. Not sure about the graphics though.

Is there a chart to compare processors? All these different processor codes make it difficult to figure out which one is faster, dual core etc.
