Hi there I'm buying a laptop for my mum and I'm not that techie minded, it needs to be wireless, she won't be doing much on it apart from surfing the web, storing a few pics etc. I've found theses 2 deals at £299 each which seems good :j I know from previous threads you need 2gb ram for vista but my mum won't be doing too much on it so would 1gb do? Anyone wanting to give there opinion on which laptop seems a better deal would be very helpful,
Thanks

Both are a good buy although I would increase the RAM to 2GB for the top one (by the way it sells for £293 at Amazon)0 -
I am looking for a laptop for my daughter for xmas. We have really a max of £350 to spend.
It will mainly be used for internet, school work and some games (quite low spec games, nothing huge) needs to have a wireless card thing as she will be on wireless broadband.
I have been looking at the dell Vostro 1510, but without a working coupon (gutted i missed last months 10% one) it is a bit to much at £386.
I am clueless really about laptops only ever had desktops before.
Any help??0 -
play the waiting game , I got a huge bargain on a dell for my daughter 2 weeks before Xmas the other year
I think in the current climate its a case of who bottles out first , you with xmas rushing up , or the retailers with stock on their books to clear
keep an eye on the grabbit board on here and the deals on HUKD ,Ex forum ambassador
