I weas going to spend around £300 for a laptop but thinking it through i think i'll go for this one:
http://www.dixons.co.uk/product.php?sku=709231&camp_id=froogle
Teh advantage beign that i get a blu ray player with the laptop which i can then hook upto the tv for 1080p films.
Anyone found/find this cheaper?
thx0 -
Hi the cheapest laptops can be found at www.ebuyer.com no reconditioned - good supplier and easy to deal with - however if you find a laptop you're thinking about buying my advice would be to run a google check on the make n odel as it might be on special offer somewhere else :beer:0

I want a laptop for my son, he has started at senior school and in need of one for homework, internet etc
On a couple of pages back this laptop was talked about http://www.acerdirect.co.uk/Acer_Aspire_4920_Gemstone_Laptop_LX.AKU0X.063/version.asp
which I thought would do him.
I checked with Dell today and they have http://configure.euro.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?b=&c=uk&cs=ukdhs1&kc=NRS15252&l=en&m_30=136643&oc=N1152503&rbc=N1152503&s=dhs
it is priced at £398 with the extra webcam which I know he would like.
The acer is almost £50 cheaper, is the Dell worth the extra money? I don't know much about acer computers, what do you think?
thanksno debts0 -
I think the proccesor in the Acer is probably better0
