log on to dell website - go onto the buisness site [yes retail can buy buisness laptops ] have a look at the prices on there - i just got a vostro 17 inch widescreen , core2 duo 1.8ghz , 2 gb ram , 160 gb hard drive , and nvidia dedicated graphics card - £410 inc vat - delivered :beer:

Anybody thought about Apple, I know they might be slightly more expensive in the first place to buy, but, IMHO you get:
1. Stability- they don't crash
2. Virus protection
3. Included software- usually enough installed from new for most home requirements
4. They just work!

help, only got intermittent internet access at moment,, so quickly putting this thread up... ok problem i got is, 10 yr old desk top is unstable, crashes has virus etc... basicially has had its day.

I have an ergo laptop paid £1200 for it, but isnt connected to internet. so question is, do i put the dreaded aol (locked into it for year) and use that, or buy a £300 desk top, if so which one, someone said this one was ok....

You don't need to install the awful AOL software to use your AOL internet connection.
