Can anyone give their opinion on this laptop. HP G7045EA http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/uk/en/ho/WF06b/21675-38187-38191-38191-38191-80641876-81720516.html It is in Staples priced at £399 but doesn't seem to feature on their website for some reason. OH feels this could be a good buy and is toying with purchasing one....What do you think?

It's about on the money given the price of laptops at the moment. Not an amazing prce but ok

Hi Everyone, I don't normally wonder over to this part, but as I'm looking for a laptop for my DD I thought I'd drop in on you.

At the moment Curry's are doing the 2gb Samsung R60 for £399 as here http://www.currys.co.uk/martprd/product/seo/322244?camp_id=email01#productInformationSection

I've put one on reserve but thought I'd check it out 1st before buying.
Is it as good a bargain as it seems.
DD is in year 10 at a very high standard school, do you think this would be suitable for her?

I'm hoping the R60 is a good buy as I bought one yesterday over the one I posted above. Can't comment on it at the moment as I am having problems setting up the wireless connection so haven't been able to use it properly yet but hope to hear some positive comments!!!

Hi,

I am looking for a new laptop that has at least the following spec:

• Dual Core Processor
• 2Gb Ram
• 160Gb Hard Drive
• Decent 'dedicated' graphics (one that doesn't share system memory)

Can anyone recommend me a decent laptop matching this between £400 - 450.

Most of the new ones I found around £320 were Celerons, but both of the above are dual-core, with quidco back and free delivery too

They look mostly the same but as this is for my soon to be student son I suspect I should be after the one which would be best for..... games.
