I have never known/met people with the levels of disposable income that I have discovered exist here on MSE. I probably have no idea that people will actually spend high sums on things that I have no knowledge/experience of.
There is no better place to find bull-$hitters than internet forums, PN. I think you will find that most of the 'personal wealth' figures you see trotted out by people on this forum are complete BS and are only done for 'look at me and how rich I (want you to think I) am' purposes.
Case in point - some guy was bragging about his new CC and £12k limit on this forum only a few days ago. This is the same guy that makes at least a couple of posts on here every hour of every day, so it's fairly safe to say that he doesn't work for living... Even if you were the Director of your own company you wouldn't have that much time spare and if you did you certainly wouldn't be spending it posting BS on internet forums .
I'd put money on the vast majority of regular poster's in this forum (ie. those that post multiple times through the daytime) are actually unemployed and have no 'personal wealth' to speak of at all.

DH never posts, but earned a fair bit for a while only working at night. If he were to have done this then, he;d have posted through the day.
I only found this sort of internet after giving up working/being ill. I used it to look up paers, research work, email but never used, or thought about forums.
Had sort of heard of people dating on the internet, and weirdos and stuff...but its...not just a parellel world, but several of them...thougsands of them, however nice your iche there is someoen else who wants to talk about it. I found a forum recently, about one colour of one breed of horse.0 -

Just to be clear, I wasn't bragging about personal wealth, but neither am I denying a great deal of personal wealth and spending power exists in the real world - and highlighting that it could be very rewarding to find niche strategies to try and tap some of it... rather than target contracting spending power markets. I really, really, really, really, really, really ... want a bl00dy pasty now. A good one. Right now. If this keeps up I'll be down Tesco at 4am buying the fresh ingredients.0

Quite possibly, but unless he's some kind of robot that doesn't need any sleep, he wouldn't be posting at least once every hour from around 7am til gone midnight like the people I am referring to manage to do.

Regarding your point about when people post. I work part time for 2 companies and seperately operate my own business from home. I never post when "on-site" and being paid for my time.0 -

So, got any suggestions for obsessional geeks?
What are you an obsessional geek in?“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

I used to work in a bakery and the bosses worked HARD they started at 4am finished at 1pm and that was just the baking and icing then when they went home they had to do the accounts. But saying that i think they made a fair bit of money on a saturday we would till up three times and average take was £4k mid week it could be £500 though. you really have to make your money at the weekend and through orders, lunch runs to local businesses0

I post frequently, but then I have no reason to disclose to the forum the exact source of my employment or self-employment.. or in a transitional zone preparing to launch or enter something new.
Just because you might be gardening all day, out in the early morning fog, working up a sweat in the cold.... doesn't mean I have to earn my money that way. That is one of the points I was trying to make.
Also I've brought something to the table, a strategy and even an idea (even if it's unworkable) - what are you bringing with your posts exactly? They seem destructive only in nature.
Where are you are going with your line of posts here? Most people on the forum have no money and are mostly liars. There is little wealth in the real world so go gardening or dogwalking and don't rise above your station? Is that about it?
If you really want to believe that there are no members on the forum, or in the real world, with genuine wealth and high disposable spending power (GeoffK maybe, unless he blows all his money on a house in the future), then fine.
If you're suggesting I'm completely wrong about business strategies targeting wealth - then say it. I believe there is substance to it.0 -

I think I managed just that two days last week. Speaking to Gen his tim and people here our time. I didn't sleep for two days.but I don't work. I have to do the animals at the right time, and prefer to keep my normal routine, but no one apart from me suffers if I don't.
