-97 points is my balance - I got 595 taken off for the France click-thru.

I'm not really surprised, a little disappointed but hey.

Hope the voucher I ordered 3 weeks ago has already been dispatched, then I think I'll leave my account - no point starting from a negative balance is there?!

Raided my piggybank as well, now have -355 points.
Unless I win a comp it will take me ages to pay my debt back to piggy;):rotfl:

I have lost points too, as have various members of my family. I think this is really low of Pigsback. I've sent them an email (copied below if anyone's interested), and I think we should all email them along the same lines. If enough members email, then maybe they may be shamed into returning the points. Yep, I know, not very likely, but worth a try? - Sue

Dear Sirs,

I noticed today that you have taken 280 points out of my account without any notice what-so-ever.

After some investigation on MSE, (www.moneysavingexpert.com), the consensus of opinion is that this was the French Guide clickthrough. At the time, Pigsback stated:

"France Guide - visit daily for 5pps and a chance to win prizes
Each Pigsback.com member that clicks across and enters will receive 5 Piggypoints everyday they click!"

I clicked this page each day and continued to do so, even when I got an error. The reason I continued to click is that there have often been problems displaying pages on Pigsback, and as you had not advised members that the promotion had ceased, I naturally thought it was an error at your end of things and would eventually be fixed.

The 5 Piggypoints were still being awarded, which strongly suggested that the promotion was still active.

You did not advise members of when the promotion had ended. For you to now go through each members account and deduct these points without even advising of why it has been done is as a gross breach of trust.

You may say that members were not entitled to these points, but each member simply did as they were requested by you, and in turn, they expected to be paid as agreed. Had Pigsback not made the error, and not awarded these points in the first place, it would be totally different.

As far as the many members to whom I have spoken to are concerned, they are entitled to the points. They have done what was asked of them, and now you intend to penalise members for your errors. Is that fair or just?

Many companies thrive and prosper on the trust they have earned. I can assure you that you have severely broken that trust of multiple members. I am aware of several people who are so disgusted by your actions that they have already cancelled their accounts. Is this what you wanted to achieve?

I would ask that you return the points that you have deducted, not just from myself, but from all members.

If Pigsback refuses to refund what members see as rightfully theirs, I assume that it is because it is so successful that it can afford to lose these accounts? If that is the case, I congratulate you on your success, but I wonder how long the company will remain so successful when it gains a very poor reputation of trust.

I would appreciate your comments on this matter and the refund of 280 Piggypoints please. I look forward to hearing from you shortly.

Yours faithfully,

515 deducted from my account today:(

Think I'll write a snotty letter as well! I was on about 5600 points so still got the slog to 6000. Really can't be bothered with them anymore.

They've denied having any record of some other points as well lilke the mytestdrive ones as I stupidly didn't realise they weren't competent enough to add them and should have kept all the records myself.

Just checked and OH has had 520 taken from his as well - he'd just got to 3010 points!!!

Will stumble towards the points and then close the accounts - there are easier ways of making money than this!!

I cancelled my account today, not only did I lose points, but the clickthru's are nearly non-existant, and although I enter all the comp's in 3 years I aint ever won a single one.

More hassle than its worth, there must be better things like pigsback about.......

Yeah, me too, but will he claw it back months later with his sharp little trotters? Obviously another blunder by the pink nincompoop: forward one step, back two.

I too have had my points deducted  and will be emailing Curly.

As far as the extra 50 points are concerned I vaguely remember in Curly's last email something about finding 50 points hidden each week - presume this must be it, so hopefully these points will stay.

I too think it's time to call it a day. I have 6500 points as the pig also took some points for the CT. Not sure if these are genuine points from when the offer was there or after but I know I am not going to waste anymore time and energy on this.

It was fun reading people messages but time to move all on. Cya folks. ;)
