I was sent here from a thread that I started asking the same question - thank you!. I will now be off to buy some booster pads!!!. Do you put in one or more? Where are they in Boots - with the washable nappies? Never seen them in disposables section. Will be so pleased if this solution works.

They're Boots own brand, in a blue packet labelled 'nappy booster pads' with item code 26-72-995. I think they were £2plus for 28. But I've not had a leak since :)

I couldn't find them in my Boots so I asked and the lady looked very doubtful... However, she checked with a colleague and caught me before I left the store to say they kept them in the store-room.

Hi, I was the OP of this thread, I got mine from Mothercare, with the washable nappies section I think, they have S,M & L. I bought the medium and they are like a very long large sanitary towel. I put just one inside the nappy and both are wet in the morning but all outer garments are dry! Fab. I hope it works for you as well as it does for me.

Thank you both. Tried Boots yesterday (before getting your reply) and they did not have them. Will go into another branch today armed with the item code and will be sure to ask too this time. I don't usually shop in (or live near) a Mothercare so would like to be able to get them in Boots but of course will make the journey for them if needed.

    Thanks again for advice.

  • Sorry if i'm being a bit simple here but if the problem is that he is getting too wet surely the best solution would be to limit his drink before bedtime?

Mine son is 2.5 - just over now but i give him his milk at 6 (for 7pm bedtime) instead of just before bed, then he'll have a bath, teeth, story, bed. (you'll have to do this for potty training anyway so easing it in now will make that easier!!)

If he is reliant on milk for sleeping just give him a lot less, just a measly few oz.

My little boy has wee comparable to a baby elephant and we used to always get soaked through nappies etc but bringing that last milk forward made the world of difference with minimal hassle and NO COST!

I'm not sure how into the 2 years your boy is but do you think he is anywhere near potty training? One of the first steps we did was popping him on the toilet before bed and this could help you to rid the excess before that night time nappy goes on.

    hth :)

They sound brilliant. I have to travel to a different town for a mothercare but I'll look out for them next time.

Even if DS2 eats a substantial supper I can't get him to sleep through the night without a full pint of milk. Any less and I can safely bet everything I own on him waking up several times during the night. I also tried increasing the time between drink and bed but, as his bladder control has improved, that time has got longer and longer, so I gave up this tactic at 3 hours. Roll on him being ready to potty train...
