inever use coupons as i never have any. i sometimes get a huggies one through the post. and in the past tesco have taken it even tho not bought product. i have found morrisons don't take them. i once did a huge shop and had a 20p off coupon. and the lady said have u b ought the product.i said i can't remember so she said well have a look through your bags then.

so i told her not to worry. i guess she was ahving a bad day.

I posted about the quick read vouchers originally and have used several on some visits (depending on how much I have bought - a weekly of £100 I will hand over a couple) a small shop I will give in 1 or 2. My Tescos seem OK about accepting vouchers, I know the checkout supervisor by name (how said is that !) and will state that ****** has Ok'd previous coupon usuage.

Never seen anyone else using vouchers though at my store so sometimes think they accept mine cos they are rarely handed over.

My top tip of the day - I have a material purse which I put my shopping vouchers in to inside my handbag, then at the till I just hand over the contents of my voucher purse. They are all safe in there (used to rummage for ages) and when it is empty, I top it up with more vouchers because I never know when I may pop into Tescos ! thus, I always ensure I have a fresh supply of vouchers to use and have money off.

Hiya Coupon-mad, I tend to start it somedays but usually Rambler or one of the regular suspects. I just go onto the discount and vouchers board and usually it is one of the first posts of the day.

Always worth checking out, I find alot of my higher value vouchers posted on there. Good Luck with the voucher money saving

Hello rozeepozee - quick read vouchers were promoted during World Book Day, see thread below, they sent me £1,000 worth of £1.00 vouchers which I have used at Tescos without buying the book, yes I have redeemed some for the quick read books but my Tescos also take them off as £1.00 off my shopping.

Hi COOLTRIKERCHICK .You said say hello when I saw you on here so I am. I told you about your £60 e-bay postage.

Anyway on topic. 2 local Tesco's ,one used to accept 100% in coupons and I regulary saved £200 a week but they stopped this a couple of years ago and have gradually reduced coupons accepted down to one per shop, too many people using them. The other has a 50% in coupons per week policy so if £50 spent you can use £25 of coupons. So I save nearly 50% of what I spend each week.
  • Having been one of those naive people whoi always buys the things the coupon tells you to, I went very excitedly to lakeside tescos with a handful of coupons, queued up for the only male cashier (which had the longest queue) but was told only one per shop :(

Still £1 off shopping is still better than nothing especially as i saved money by buying tesco value loo roll instead of the double velvet the coupon was for!
Looking forward to my next shop

Thanks Welshy and it looks as though that offer is available til the end of the year - great! And another seemingly stupid question from me (do bear with me): will they accept the printed off ones?
