I just moved from vodafone PAYG to asda mobile (both sim only deals) last Friday.
I realised today that I'm not getting any texts although people have sent them. The only one that's arrived is in reply to one I sent - the ones that people are sending directly don't seem to be arriving.
Ideas or suggestions, and can I expect it to sort itself out or do I need to get onto Asda customer services - I wasn't sure if it was something they can do anything about?
Thanks

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Have you change the message centre number from Voda to Asda in the phone ?

Receiving texts has nothing to do with message centre numbers.

Try switching your phone off and on.

It's the correct message centre number, but my mum's sent me 3 over the last 24 hours that still haven't arrived.
I phoned Asda and they got me to to check the message settings, but they're all ok.

Phone Asda, they'll hopefully be able to check where the messages are and for what reason they ain't been delivered. What phone is it? Have you checked how much free memory it has?

Nokia 1600. Working fine till I switched my number to Asda, and the memory should be ok as there's nothing stored on it at the moment.

I think that the SMS and Incoming calls are ported separately, so maybe the porting process hasn't completed successfully, or maybe you need to give it some more time.

Try taking the battery out while the phones switch on, leave it out a minute or so and put back together.

As a test have you tried sending a text to yourself? Try it and see if it make the round trip...
