Applied last night to make use of the £15 credit. Was accepted within a few minutes and went and bought COD MW2 for effectively £17 :)
  • I applied over the weekend.. no instant decision- this morning I got a confirmation by text that my application has been successful!
  • Well I am itching to press the apply button, but as I cant get accepted for a cold right now. Wondering whether it is worth the search footprint it will leave! LOl

In the end I was rejected for this card, I had just recently taken another MBNA deal card though for a balance transfer.

It all worked out though as cdiscount.co.uk had a great offer on cameras anyway and beat the discount I would have got.

I'll reapply in the future if I require the discount for anything.

Hi Ben, Are you not aware that cdiscount have gone into liquidation?
Did you buy on a credit card?
Was the camera more than £100?

I applied online and was accepted. Does it mean that if I buy something on Amazon now using that card I get the £15 taken off the balance of the purchase, or should I just buy something for say, £1, and then go and buy the appliance on Amazon after the credit has been applied? Thank you for any suggestion you can give me about this.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

Got mine in the post today! Thanks to the OP for the heads-up on this one!

The £15 credit will come in handy , and I think I'll transfer some £150 I owe on a Capitol One card over to this one .. unless of course that's considered a bad idea?

£15 is credited to your account after your first purchase as long as your first purchase is made within 180 days of opening your account

Depends on the APR of Capital One v Amazon. Amazon is 16.9% APR
