you get £15 credited to the card after you make your first purchase. no strings attached, as far as I can see.

I applied for one before posting and was accepted with a limit of £2900. for anyone interested in their own chances, my annual income i put down as £19000.

I applied through this link;

enjoy, all.

I had one of these a few years back, got the £15 voucher for first spend then another after earning so many points (can't remember how many)... Then a week later they sent me another. Spent it as soon as I could, before they realised. This was when it was HBoS tho.
At the time I was earning 22k and got a £4k limit. Talking 2006 so not indicative of todays climate.

So is this actually BOA or MBNA? Isn't MBNA part of BOA now? Therefore, what i'm asking is will this be classed as an MBNA card?

    Edit - just seen: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/cobrandcard/marketing.html?pr=ukconcbcc&inc=ukdef&place=help&ad=HLP01
The Amazon.co.uk MasterCard is issued by MBNA Europe Bank Limited. MBNA is a Bank of America company. Registered Office: Stansfield House, Chester Business Park, Chester CH4 9QQ. Registered in England number 2783251. Credit is available, subject to status, only to UK residents aged 18 or over. You cannot transfer balances from another MBNA account. We will monitor or record some phone calls. MBNA's consumer credit activities are licensed by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) and our general insurance activities are authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA).

Seen this advert spam on their site and applied as I fancy a new keyboard.

That's the sort of spam adverts I don't mind. No answer though from them as they said they'd be in contact within 10 days.

I also applied yesterday for this card.

I recently applied and got the MBNA 1.9% no fees balance transfer card though so not massively confident.

I would like the £15 though to bring a camera cost down a little then 0% for 9 months too. I don't intend on buying anything else on the card until that period is over.

We'll see if it gets approved this week.

    Finger crossed

It's also not the same Amazon Mastercard, as the old one was with HBOS and closed earlier this year, and the new one is with MBNA.

I've just applied and got an instant acceptance with a £4400 limit. I was a bit surprised as I only got my Play.com card with MBNA a couple of months ago with a £5000 limit.

    [Edit]

Surprise no 2. I didn't read the OP properly and thought the £15 would be in Amazon vouchers as previous offers. However the acceptance email states:-

Your Amazon.co.uk MasterCard account will automatically be credited £15 within a few days of your first purchase with the card. The discount will appear as a credit on your credit card statement.

So it appears to be a direct credit of £15 to the card balance for an unspecified spend amount.

I was knocked back! Got a letter from "Bank of America" (the same Bank of America which is now bankrupt I assume) saying fu** off we don't want you but why not ask a car parking attendant or someone working on the tills in ASDA or Experian why that much be. Just got a pen and paper and saved me the bother.

Will just have to get a cheap[er] keyboard then :D

When did you apply Jemma? Same day as me? 5th?

A guy at work hasn't heard anything yet and I haven't. I am in the process of just moved house as well so royal mail re-direct is on too, plus aren't they on strike so i put this down to why i've not heard.

i received mine in the post today, having received my pin last week.

i rung the call centre to activate it and has he ran throught the promotional offers, he said it was 0% on purchases until August next year.

I asked him to check and he confirmed his system was telling him this. now on the card website, and also on the leaflet i got with the card, it only states 0% on purchases until august 2010 for purchases on amazon.co.uk.

i was going to close the card once i'd got my £15 but if it is indeed 0% on purchases until august 2010 i might as well make use of that.

I'd therefore appreciate anyone else ringing up to activate the card to try and confirm this because I can't think of any other obvious way to corroborate.

    thanks
