O2 phone on PAYG with good internet ability - NEEDED

Looking for a phone for DH which allows him to check the internet/send e-mails easily.
I have just sent for some O2 sim cards with give free internet and free text messages if you top up 15 month.
dont really want to spent much more than that but is this the best way to go about it, or is a contract better?

    The 02 one, seems to be a good one and i have recommended it to others in the past.
    Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
