Hi all, we are in need of a family car, estate preferrable as we go camping quite a bit.
We have got three in mind atm, a vauxhall signum, renault scenic and saab 9-5. (all second hand)
I need help choosing. The saab is at £4.5k, 2004, Auto , diesel 2.2 , 131k miles, leather, cruise control but at the very very top of the budget.
The vauxhall is £3499, diesel 2.2 auto, 2003, half leather, no roof bars, Auto , 103k miles, cruise control, full body kit so looks really nice and sporty
The Scenic is £3695 leather 2002, diesel 1.9 , 56k miles, leather, manual.
This car has got to last us as long as possible (we arent in the position to change cars frequently unless we win the lottery!)
I have got a classic car to sell in the spring next year, and i want roughly £5.5k for it (minimum) its quite a sought after car and quite rare. The rest after buying the car will be used to pay off some of our credit cards.
What would you go for and why?

the scenic is £3695 leather 2002, diesel 1.9 , 56k miles, leather, manual. renault not the cleverest choice for long term reliability.

well its not quite a classic in the true sense of the word, perhaps a modern classic, but they are so retro and really sought after as only 20,000 where ever made so they will always hold thier price or increase.Make £10 a day challenge March 2013 £101.24 / £240 :j

If you are going for a high mileage diesel i would make sure the dual mass flywheel has been replaced recently or you could have a large bill coming your wayHi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
