I've bought a Next dress that is actually a Matalan dress - what can I do?

Thanks for all the replies. Yes the item was listed as Next both in the title, item specifics and finally the description. The photo is of the dress I have received. But the label at the top of the dress (by the neckline) has been cut out. I looked for the washing instructions as it is a party dress for my dd. On these it is clearly written Matalan.0

Have you contacted the seller? Has the seller responded? I think you should contact the seller first before opening a dispute and perhaps they will offer a partial refund."Dance like nobody's watching; love like you've never been hurt. Hi i have now sent a message to seller asking if there has been a mistake with the listing or item sent. Awaiting response. Thank you all again for your help.0

Thanks for the advice given. The seller responded quickly to my message. They were selling item for someone else and listed it as a Next dress in error. They immediately gave me a full refund and said I can keep the item. So I have thanked them and given them great feedback stating they resolved an issue quickly and fairly.0

Just playing Devil's Advocate here....but did you buy the dress because you liked it or because of a label? Does it make a difference to how you feel about it, or are you bothered because you paid Next prices for a Matalan dress iyswim?
If you bought a Mercedes and found out it was actually a Fiat how much would the "label" matter?

I'd be interested to know whether the normal contract terms are affected by buying through Ebay. If the seller refused, you could theoretically end up suing.0
