What can I do? Item lost in post strikes, buyer impatient

  • So in actual fact you agree with what i just said...!?
No- couldn't agree less. A dispute is very different than a chargeback- I suggest you go to paypal and actually read something, anything, because so far all you have said is absolute rubbish- but I guess that doesn't matter as you're only posting so you can post live spam links to your own website on the codes board.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine. :p
  • Absolute rubbish- I go through many claims in a year (high volume buyer) and any seller that is not a pain gets a positive.

As I have pointed out, do this too often and negs or not it will affect your ebay account, and I for one think that this is a good thing- stops bad sellers like yourself.

There are millions of items a year that get lost, so assuming buyers are lying with no basis at all is a bit ridiculous.

As a seller we do get occasional (and I do mean occasional) buyers who have things that get lost, and yes I have my doubts, but they are going to win anyway, so we get them to open a paypal dispute (so that ebay has a record) and refund them from there.

This boards over eagerness to refund is quite entertaining. Refunding after barely 2 weeks, postal strikes, 2nd class (?).....comical.

Managed correctly three weeks + is the benchmark. In that period everything almost always turns up.

We send thousands of packets through packet post, and have made just handful of claims this year. Some I am sure were phony (buyer enduced)

Bursting everyones bubble....you refund, it turns up a week later, some will contact....most will not.

If the buyer is going to get their money back anyway, I would prefer that my buyer was kept on side & willing to help when it came to claiming off the Royal Mail. If that means refunding after 2 weeks then so be it.

Obviously I am a high volume seller as well, but this was not relevent to the discussion (and also TRS, not that it is a good indication of seller standards). I don't care what level powerseller you are, you're still wrong. :p

Lol, how can i be 'Wrong' when it is a matter of opinion? all the facts are Right and Absolutely True, surely your point of argument here is that 'you disagree?'

pertainig to the eBay TRS's how can you say that it isnt a good indication when you dont have it? therefore you cannot compare your sales from before you had it to afterwards?

All the facts are not "Right and Absolutely True" (random use of capitals) as there are millions of things going missing every year.

It is not a good indication of standards, as sellers are now soley judged on bad experiences- if a buyer buys 4 items and that one transaction goes wrong then you lose your rosette. Also, in the short time we have had it, we've not seen any difference whatsoever.

Anyway, I am not going to argue with you anymore- I have better things to do than play with trolls, like run a business properly.

To date we've only had three people contact us to say an item has turned up after being refunded (I've never refunded in less than 3 weeks) and none returned the item or repaid for it.
All made it to my blocked bidder list

I always refund straight away if they say it is lost after a week or so. Not worth my time to fight a losing battle. Whats the point fighting a paypal claim when you can't prove delivery ?
