They've arrived! I haven't tried them on yet - am knackered and have just slid into my jim jams, but will try them tomorrow. I held them up and they looked like they may reach my ankles, if I shrink a bit... but if the fit is right, they will be perfect with my long Emu boots.

If not, Saz, you are onto a winner!

Aww hun, I'm confident they'll look lovely on you:) Re eBay boots no harm dropping the seller an email if they don't turn up in the next day or too but if they are in London, there has been postal strikes:rolleyes:

Aw Saz, sorry but they fit! Bit short, right on the ankle when standing - but perfect with my long boots! Not washed them yet, so don't give up hope just yet... :D

I did email the seller - said the boots will be with me early part of next week. I am dreading really loving them as would like some in black for work.... not very MSE.. :o

Hun I'm glad they fit - honest! :D Not to worry coz I spied some sale racks in Marks today, so I reckon I'll be coming home with a few bargains very soon:D And as for MSE, if you can get two pairs of boots off eBay and one lot does for work, well that's MSE in my book :T

Can I just say that I am of 'a certain age' and know all about muffin tops!!!! I have just bought 2 pairs of Asda's George Jeggings, (skinny jeans in proper denim with an elasticated waist) and they're fantastic. Proper height waist and no muffin top, skinny leg and only £10!!!!! 3 leg lengths too. I have grey and indigo, and apparantly they fly out as soon as they're delivered, but there were some in my asda today. Dont mistake these for the thin jersey dyed denim colour leggings, these guys are proper denim. They have the proper yellow stitching on the back pockets and front fly.

I despair of ever finding a pair of skinny jeans that sit on the waist. I am nearly the wrong side of 40 and am definitely the wrong side of a size 12! I have found some in the Autograph range that might be OK so will be ordering them when I get paid.

By the way I was so pleased to see that the OP referred to them as "Marks & Sparks". I thought I was the only one left of my generation who called them that.

I call it Marks & Sparks;)

Jeannie step away from skinny jeans, they are for the young'uns.

Straight or boot cut is the way to go;)

OH & try the Per Una range they are the best!

I've just had a look and the jeggings from George are in stock and available online. Tempted, they could be just what I am looking for re work and boots etc. Can't argue with the price either!!
