Hello all,
I have a skype mobile phone that I will be taking overseas with me and was wondering if I could use that phone to make calls to other skype users in the UK even though I will be using the overseas network provider during my stay.

It depends on which network you are on oversears, if its not one indicated by Three on their site (assume the phone is a Skype three phone) - then you will get charged for data usage which can be quite huge overseas.

Best to check with your network provider before going.

Can you clarify what you mean? IF it's one of those WiFi Skype phones (ie doesn't use the mobile phone network) then provided you can get a WiFi connection then no problems at all, and no extra charges.

Depends where you're going - but in Asia (big generalisation of course), free WiFi seems much more prevalent than here. Often free in hotels, coffeeshops etc. Connection speed not always great. If that's where you're headed then consider Skype via WiFi.
