Hi, after my earlier post I managed to get into my store today. I couldn't find any games at all in my local store so asked the SA where the DS games were. She explained that they have stopped selling the DS games in my local branch but the SA spotted me carrying the guiness book of records and asked if it was for the game and book deal. I told her it was and she said oh, we do have the offer game in store! She explained that they were sent the promotional items even though they dont stock games!!! She also went onto say that they weren't sent any promotional material to display the offer so not many people had come in and asked for it. She said as it was such a good deal the staff had been buying loads!!! Fabulous find, used the £5 off a £10 book so very, very pleased.

Yes, the game and the book for £10.
My store doesn't sell games any longer so no games at all on display. But SA seemed to think all stores were sent the promo game so it's worth asking at the counter if your store doesn't stock the games normally. There were about 9 games left behind the till when I got mine:j

Recommended this deal to a friend who went to a different branch and they flatly refused to give her the deal - so she went to the same branch as me and although not happy about it - they did give her th £10 deal... so by tomorrow - I think this may have mysteriously disappeared once the word gets around to the branches!

I went to my Wh Smith in Glasgow today and they said they had never heard of any such deal I pretended that a "friend" had purchased one and they still said no it wasnt from there stores:mad: Has anyone in scotland done this one was thinking it was maybe stores down south:eek:
