Here we are 4 hours later. Lots of research in and around these forums. Lots of number crunching and lots of going through paper work. End result is that I managed to get hold of the Recovery Manager of my local council and sent him an email. Hopefully this is enough to get the matter solved. At the moment my calculations show that I am owed £30.- when the bailiffs claim that I owe them £430.-
No point going to bed now. Will have breakfast, make sarney for lunch and get washed and dressed before getting DD up."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Sounds like a busy day... hope you get money back as per your calculations... xTwenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. Hey Marru - busy night last night - well done you on finding all that info out.
I love this site - it does exactly what it says on the tin.
By the way - not to be cheeky - how much do 'housesitters' get paid (roughly or tell me to bog off if its private? - I've often fancied it and wondered!)Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:

I am soooo messed up!!
I was sitting here working on my laptop and suddenly twenty past seven there was loud knock on the door. The bailiffs!!! I think. Then they tried to call my phone - omg I can't deal with this now!!!! So I called BF. After long and teary conversation I picked up a message. That is my neighbour saying that she has taken a parcel from Tesco for me. Oh yes, I did order a birthday present for DD from Tesco and arranged the delivery for tonigth but COMPLETELY FORGOT IT. So I have been here well and truly upset for no reason at all. I shall pick the pressie from my neignbour tomorrow afternoon so that DD can't see it and start guestioning me of what it is. DOH!!!!!
Back when I have come back to my senses!!!!!
Oh - just a taster of what is coming next week: I am going to take DD's dad to court  so that should keep me out of trouble - or not"Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Oh Marru...
It's not surprising you're jumpy after the time you're having. At least your neighbour was around to pick up the package

Thanks Honeybear. No news from council. If I don't get reply tomorrow then I will send another email and this time cc the deputy chair that happens to be a councillor living just across the road from me. I am so chuffed from getting the email address of the recovery manager. He won't get a peaceful moment until this matter is solved."Everything will be alright in the end. Hello again,
I will go to BF for weekend so lots to do before heading off tomorrow. However I am really tired and am thinking that perhaps I should go to bed now and then get up early to do all the things. Here are the lists:
Today:
- Clean pigs
- Clip dog's claws
- Make list for stuff I need to pack
- Get washing up to date
- Check online banking
- Make some payments
- Send another email to council and cc my councilor (no news)
Tomorrow:
- Pack
- Make space in garage as not to have to leave car 5 mins walk away and instead can lock in garage (even that my car will disappear tomorrow for ever)
- Call car insurance company to make sure new insurance has started and to add BF as named driver
- Empty car from all [STRIKE]rubbish[/STRIKE] unnecessary stuff
Fay - sorry didn't answer your question as was a bit distracted. No, I don't know what going rate is. Last time I was house sitting we had this bartering agreement and it was service for service. I am going to google pet sitting and find out what the going rate is. I will then give a discount due to the fact that I wouldn't be staying in the house 24/7 as I have part time job.
Better go and get the washing done, the rest can be done early in the morning."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."
