We are not supposed to talk about fees etc and what companies we get them from. They are all different, some are better than others. Id suggest signing up for a couple mentioned on the first/second post and then you can see the fees and decide your self which ones to do.

5 in october and 7 so far in Nov. Sitting here hitting F5 as the pet shops are coming on and I want my local one!!!!

Awww - I missed the pets shop! Can only see one that is miles away and not worth travelling to. Was wanting a couple to stock up on bits for my new puppy.

It's very much a how long is a piece of string question. Jobs can vary from reimbursement for goods only, up to hundereds of pounds per job depending on what the job involves.
Here I go again on my own....

Ive just checked my mail, only to find a message from Gap sacking me!! The only reason I can think of that they have been phoning my landline, but Ive had trouble answering it as its an old phone and some of the buttons dont work. i wasnt sure who it was phoning as I couldnt hear them but I guess this is my answer.
Im so cross as Ive been with them previously for over a year, had a break then signed back up earlier this year. Ive never cancelled/rescheduled, I always submit on time. The thing im most annoyed about is that I cant dispute it or explain.

right deep breath........ I guess there doing me a favour so I dont have to eat anymore fatty fast food. I just dont like being sacked without being able to explain and defend myself or without given an actual reason.

    rant over lol

Client confidentiality is a major part of ms`ing and fees must not be discussed! We all start ms`ing with different companies and then it`s up to the shopper to decide if the fee for a job makes it worth doing. Different shoppers prefer different companies is is up to you to decide your favourites! If you want a free meal or just passing by a shop then why not earn a bit of cash on the way. You will never get rich doing the job, but as with everything if you put time and effort into it you can reap the rewards!

This thread is 45 pages long and nowhere within the first 4 pages does it answer my question. Surely it's simple enough; either these companies pay people - or they don't!

Reading through all the threads on the MS forums (All XI of them and others on the web) will give you a good insight into the ups and downs of the job.

Part of the agreement when you sign up as a MSer is confidentiality which means you are not meant to discuss clients or payments.
It can be lucrative but by how much depends on your reliability and hard work.

We do this work because we beleive in good service and our feedback helps clients in achieving this. Some people do only a few jobs a month that fit into their lifestyles i.e. picking up a sandwich at lunchtime and others can make a reasonable monthly amount if they have time, dedication and have built up an exceptional reputation with many agencies.

    :T Well said!
I have been ms`ing for 15yrs off and on. In those days the fees were 3/4/5 times higher than now. All reports were done on paper (no spell checker) and hand writing had to highly legible! I have earned my reputation with the companies over the years!
I have to say though that when I came across this thread I was so thankful for the advice given by other shoppers. There were companies I had not heard of and have since signed up for. This has "upped my income". I have to admit that I still make mistakes and I am learning all the time.

I too remember paper days! I have ms'ed for about 15 years too...albeit with one agency for 4 but with the internet I sourced a few more. I stumbled across this forum only recently and I think it is such a great resource.

THANKS to everyone past and present!:T

it varies between jobs e.g. you might go to a restaurant and get a free meal for two people,go to a shop and a free item of clothing or you could go to a phone shop or bank and get paid a fee. not allowed to discuss payments, its in the contract.

if you sign up to one or two on the front page they are not scams and then you will be able to see available jobs and how much you will get paid. would recommend re and gap first as they have lots of jobs available.

i have been doing it for two months and have done about 40 jobs. i have earnt quite a bit
