The instructions are on the first page of this thread. The instructions work

I'm not going to get drawn into the whole frosty argument, but just to confirm I joined Abai yesterday, and think i've managed to add pretty much all of them (although I seem to be missing a toy/gadget store if anyones feeling generous with a PM)

So I can confirm that the links work yesterday when the message was posted.

I just want to say I think this forum is GREAT. I have been a MS for over 5 years and wish I had known about it sooner. When I started I had to 'google' MS and apply to companies, then find out how and where they operate etc. One of the companies I waited 3 months for payment as they had a 'cash flow' problem! It's been a long and hard journey to establish myself with a few. So anyone who helps along the way is worthy of praise. Keep up the good work 'uk' and 'TG'.

If you're unable to follow those instructions, (this may sound harsh) then Mystery Shopping probably isn't for you

    This is offensive.

And I'm not bitter, I don't bow to bullies anymore.
  • I think this forum is great too. It has been a great source of information to me as I only started mystery shopping back in July this year and I've found people to be really helpful on here. It's also great to come on here and share mystery shopping experiences whether good or bad and know that people have had similiar stories.
  • I went to complete an assignment for the people that have the lovely burgers that you all seem to like doing, the assignment was for a place that is currently on strike, only to find that it had changed use. The mystery shopping company sent me an email to say that my results are overdue even though I have sent them an email to say that it is no longer what they state it is. I have cancelled the assignment this morning, how will this effect my score with this said MS company.

Also on the ABAi post - I too seem to be missing a gadgety store, I have added all the other links but cannot for the life of me find the gadgety store on there.

Thats common, the computer system works on a strict 24 hour system for notification of being overdue and then removing the item - whereas the emails are only read in office hours. It will get sorted as I have had similar situations - I often take a picture of the closed location as proof I went. Wait for a phone call from Ian ;-)

I expect I'll be dropped by them. I missed two calls from them last night, then had a number of missed calls from them when I was out today. They finally caught up with me late afternoon and demanded I go and do a job tomorrow lunchtime as someone has let them down. I explained I'll be miles away from that location as I've got loads of other work on, so she said she'd book me in for Saturday. I don't want to go on Saturday as it's in a shopping centre that is absolutely heaving on weekends so I said that wasn't possible either. I got told I was being difficult, so I just apologised again and she hung up.

The job is reimbursement only so it would actually cost me to do the job by the time you factor in petrol and my time, and I'm not overly keen on the item I have to buy so there's no incentive for me to do it.

Take a look at the change in terms and conditions posted on their noticeboard 2 days ago.

Point 18 and 19---if you are 'uncooperative' to one of their staff then you may not get paid and may have your account closed.

There's no explanation of what 'uncooperative' means, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's not agreeing to do the jobs they phone you up with.

Seems a very high handed way of dealing with their shoppers.
    Waddle you do eh?

I'll email and ask for a definition.

"Re - Changes to shopper agreement.
My wife always advises me to read the small print, and was wondering what the term "uncooperative" in item 18 (7) " I have been uncooperative with GAPbuster staff." refers to. It would be handy to have a list of terms and their explicit meanings as with financial contract. I am hoping it does not mean that when Gapbuster phone and ask for me to carry out work I have not previously selected because of other commitments and I advise I cannot do it, would be misconstrued as "uncooperative"."

    Await the reply......
