I didn't get it the first time either.

Follow the link. Then read the web addresses you get. The clients names are in them. Pick one for a new client you want. Go through the registration page. It should then say your username already exists. Pick 'select' next to your name. This goes to a final confirmation page for your new client. When you log in again, the new client should show.

Looks like they're finishing off assigning the icecream jobs on React, I've been given two which I think I can go get done today - just checking the notes, as I managed to book myself a clear day (not sure how every other day this week I have at least two including the days I'm at work and when I'm travelling to London on Friday...)

Grr have to do them during the week...off to see what I can rearrange to make them easier to fit in.

I was doing a fuel visit for them at the end of the summer where just as I turned up so did a fuel tanker and the staff said the station was closed for the next 30 minutes. I emailed them about this and was called back by them and told that they had checked the validity of my claim and that it was genuine. They then said they would pay me a nominal fee for going (enough given I was out and about anyway) and asked if I wanted to go back another day. Could revisit but the money did turn up.

I have a connection at Heathrow T5 in a couple of weeks. Have three visits booked already but on the look out for more. TNS don't seem to have any food visits there for December (which is a bummer as they usually have tonnes) and nothing has come up that I've seen on RE.

I think it may be an issue with my account (not being able to see the 'select' next to my name) as when I phoned the company they cannot see my account and am now awaiting someone to phone me back.

Ahh first day fun.

ABORTED my visit to Lakeside today. Sat in a traffic queue for over an hour and a half waiting to get onto the M25 to get through the Dartford Tunnel ... think it was busy due to the Blackwall Tunnel being closed ... And you've not got my kids on Friday as we're away (you don't have them anymore anyway!!!!)

Tell me about it. I was stuck in traffic too because of the blackwall tunnel and had to abort my petrol job and go back later.

I have a query about GR - I've been signed up for ages and only ever done a couple of bank jobs and a mobile visit - both of which I was explicitly asked to do by email. There seem to be tonnes of jobs in the alert thread with them, as well as suggestions on their site that they shop lots of different clients. Is there anything I can do to persuade them to let me see more jobs from more clients, or am I doomed?

It really depends who you are going to be doing the bulk of your video work for. Currently there are three different types of kit in general use and different companies prefer different kit, and some companies can only accept footage in a certain format and can't process it if it's been recorded on the "wrong" kit. Video kit is a bit of a minefield at the moment. When I started out there was only one kit available which everyone used and every company could process, so I was spared this problem, however technology moves on and every year something new comes out (hence the fact that there's three types of kit now in general use!). If you let me know who you are planning on working for I can give a more detailed reply.
