Had a few but not even bothering with the fast food any more. Winding down at the moment as my dear mum has to go for op next Thurs as she has bowel cancer. Likely to be several months before she is back to any sort of normal so my new role will be as nurse and carer. Will call in here in the evenings though to "see" my friends.
I'm so sorry to hear about your mum. My grandad is currently suffering with lung cancer so I know how hard it is. If you ever need to talk you can always pm me - I spent 3 years training as a nurse and working in hospitals so I can help with the nursey/carer side of things too.0 -
On another note does anyone have experience of restaurants who take items in the brief off the bill? Specifically RE.
Just did a posh restaurant where I got my drink 1hr 15 mins after we sat down. Then waited another 30 mins between desserts being taken away and coffee being ordered to the coffee actually arriving (I knew my drink was being comped so ordered another to get the 2 drink minimum) then another 30 mins after that to get the bill. However the server was nice enough to take my drink, the coffee and our desserts off the bill without telling us so we're now 1 drink short.
I know people have had similar experiences in gyp pizza places but just wondered how RE are about it?0 -

There is an easier way. If your shop was 66 High Street ( or whatever)...Google 53 and 68.

TG - Lakeside's still there if you want it!
After several attempts I've finally been assigned some jobs from ESA - five at once! Anyone know how they send out the 'further information' when the job is assigned - I can find the questionnaire online, but no briefing notes.
Click on the actual job and you get briefing notes, questionnaire and a flyer for remembering things. If not ring them up and they' ll explain it. Their phone number is on the link to the right.Clique member no 1.:D0 -
Just done my first RE mystery shop and now I see what you guys mean by the repetetive quiestions! Sheesh! Tried to do a GAP phone shop visit afterwards but browsed the shop for ages and the guys ignored me and I couldn't be arsed to go up and speak to them as it was just me in the store so I left and recheduled it for next week!
Its probably not the best idea to just walk out again next time as that is not following the scenario ..... you are required to approach the salesperson yourself if they have not approached you within a certain time, as stated on your brief. I guess if you cant be 'arsed to go up and speak to them' then best not to waste the company's time in doing those sort of jobs..... I dont mean to sound too harsh, but there are not too many jobs about and it would free the job up for someone else who wishes to conduct the assignment in the correct manner , as specified by the client...0 -

Nope, it's still pretty bad. Went to dentist yesterday and it's an infection in my wisdom tooth dso I've got some antibiotics.
Had a proper night's sleep last night though (albeit painkillers have worn off now so couldn't lounge in bed for another couple of hours, like I'd prefer!), the first time this week! :j
But yeah, I wasn't feling the toothache yesterday evening, so enjoyed the chicken job, though it was a little too greasy.0 -
